Antique Radio Repair & Restoration Estimates & Guarantee

Estimates – We charge a flat rate for antique radio restorations of $10.00 per tube plus the cost of filter capacitors.  For radios with more than 10 tubes, our flat rate is $100.00.  The $10.00 per tube includes labor and all coupling and by-pass capacitors, resistors, wire, dial lamps, dial string, miscellaneous small parts (nuts, bolts, springs, terminal strips, etc.).  It also includes cleaning the radio chassis and cabinet, tube testing, cleaning and lubrication of switches and controls, minor speaker repair and precise alignment of tuned circuits to ensure maximum selectivity and sensitivity.

If your antique radio repair or restoration requires other parts such as a power cord, power or output transformer, tubes, new speaker cone, coils, etc, you pay only the cost of the part.  We never charge additional labor.

Antique radio cabinets – We will have to look at the cabinet and discuss with you the level of restoration you want before providing an estimate.  A simple refinish that does not require stripping generally runs less than $40.00

Guarantee –We bench test all our antique radio repair and restorations with two full days of playing.  We also examine every stage of the radio with an oscilloscope to ensure all components are operating properly and at peak performance. We guarantee all new or new old stock parts for 1 year, used parts for 90 days. We guarantee our labor, and your enjoyment, forever.
